Luxe Persian Wedding Universal Eventspace and Omni King Edward Hotel
I feel like I’ve been a part of Candice and Fred’s story for so long now, nearly 3 years ago I had the pleasure to first meet with them and photograph their engagement! They both have such a fun spontaneous energy that comes out in every photos. As many know we are a bit behind on our blogging these days, so I’m writing this shortly after having the opportunity to photograph their maternity session. It is such a blessing to continue to be a part of such amazing peoples lives.
I started out the morning with Candice at the Kind Eddy hotel which is one of my favourite places for getting ready. The architecture and light there are simply stunning. Candice has an amazing ability to both be models and elegant but also totally authentic and fun. We got ready with her family and bridal party. I love including parents in every step of the process and her fire look with her dad was one of the best parts of the day.
We headed to Parkdale (my hood) for the ceremony and super fun getaway in a VW Bug. It was a short skip up to High Park for their photos. The fall colours were just so gorgeous and really made the fact that it was freezing cold worthwhile.
From there we went to Universal Event Space to party down Persian style with lots of circle dances, drums and excitement. It was a night I will not soon forget.
We were so excited to Have Candice and Fred’s wedding featured in Elegant Wedding Magazine Here is what they had to say..
“Being that Candice and Frederick come from both the country and the city, they decided to combine rustic with elegance to create a whimsical woodland wedding theme. In traditional fashion, the couple saw each other for the first time at the ceremony where the altar was framed by two large cherry blossom arrangements. At the magical reception, blush floor to ceiling draping lined the room where each table featured a large, lush, greenery centrepiece illuminated by hanging bulbs filled with candles. To push the woodland theme further, a five-tier white and gold cake was created with woodwork effects carved into the bottom tier. Everyone felt as though they had been transported to a magical forest. Scrumptious food was served, guests mingled throughout the evening and fantastic entertainment was provided thanks to a phenomenal live Lebanese band.”
